Salt and Chilli Catering’s Terms and Conditions

 

BOOKINGS

 

A deposit of $250.00 is required to confirm the date for a function.

This must be made within 7 days to maintain the booking.

Payment of the deposit confirms you have read, understood and accepted all the terms and conditions.

 

FINAL CONFIRMATION OF THE EVENT

 

The menu choice must be finalized 21 days prior to the event.

Final numbers must be finalized 7 days prior to the event. This number will be charged as the minimum as per initial booking and is not subject to reduction.

An invoice will be issued 7 days prior to the event.

 

PAYMENT DETAILS

 

Total payment is required 5 days prior to the event.

Paying by Cheque, allow 7 working days prior to the event.

Cash on the day but must be advised.

Credit cards are not accepted.

Salt and Chilli Catering will not start service until final payment has been made.

SERVICE TIMES

 

Guest arrival time and waiter service time is to be confirmed at confirmation of the event.

Speech and cake times must be advised before event.

All food must be served before any speeches or cutting of the cake unless arranged prior to the event.

If waiting staff are delayed by speeches a surcharge will be applied.

SURCHARGES

 

A travelling charge may occur depending on distance.

20% on Public Holidays calculated on total invoice price.

If the cocktail machine or bar tables are required to be picked up at the venue on the same night a surcharge will apply.

 

WEDDINGS / SPECIAL EVENTS / EXTRA CHARGES

If we are required to set up our kitchen earlier than normal.

Wedding location / distance.

Menu is to be served over a longer range of time requiring extra staff hours.

Arrange for speeches / cake cutting in between menu service requiring a set delay.

 

PRICES

 

Prices quoted on the Web Page are subject to change without notice.

 

BROKEN OR DAMAGED HIRE EQUIPMENT

 

Replacement cost will be charged for all equipment broken, damaged or stolen from the event.

 

SAFETY AND HYGIENE

 

It is the customer’s  responsibility to ensure children and guests are kept away from any hot or potentially dangerous equipment, including chef equipment.  Salt and Chilli Catering cannot take any responsibility for any damage to property or persons caused by non-compliance.  Pets and other animals must be prevented from entering any area where food is being prepared or served to meet food hygiene and safety requirements.

 

CANCELLATIONS

 

All cancellations must be made in writing.

Deposits will be refunded in full for cancellations received 90 days or more prior to the event.

Cancellations less than 90 days prior to the event forfeit the deposit.

The full deposit is retained + 20% of the event ‘s  total cost will be charged if cancellation is made 3 – 6 days prior to the event.

Total event costs will be charged if cancellation is received less than 3 days.
